PMB Briquettes manufacturing process.

Material like Saw Dust, Ground Nut Shells, Coffee Husk, Sugarcane Bagasse Castor Seed Shells and all other raw material up to 25mm size are supplied to the Screw Conveyor. When more than one material is used, it is to be ensured that they are mixed in suitable proportion. Materials with higher moisture content i.e. More then 15% needs to be dried in sunlight or driers. Material from mixing area is discharged with the help of Conveyor to hopper, Material from hopper moved to connecting chamber is then compressed by the Hydraulic pressure, The compression raises the temperature of material which results in softening of the lignin, inherent in every biomass. This lignin comes to the surface and binds the materials together. Briquettes are formed in the shape of Rectangular or cylindrical type .

Frequent Jamming of the die. Ram Type piston is highly energy-intensive and the required total connected load is around 85 to 90 HP per machine. The briquettes produced by a piston press are Low density. Only particular Biomass raw materials can be Briquetted.
